No. 3 (2001): Lacan in the Century

This third volume of the journal *Stylus*—a publication of the Association of Lacanian Field Forums (AFCL)—marks a moment of transition and a "time to conclude," consolidating the shift from the previous format (the "Espaço-Escola" link) toward the definitive establishment of *Stylus* as the AFCL’s journal of psychoanalysis. Born from a shared commitment and a renewed desire for collaborative work, this edition pays tribute to the centenary of Jacques Lacan’s birth, highlighting the impact and fertility of his teaching across culture, scientific inquiry, the training of analysts, and the direction of the analytic cure.

Designed as a collective space defined by both rigor and the unique voice of each contributor, this volume aims to advance the development of psychoanalytic theory through direct engagement with the "real" of clinical practice—an essential foundation for both analytic training and the Lacanian proposal of "forming a School." Through interviews, personal accounts, clinical sections, reviews, and debates concerning the institution itself, this issue captures the enthusiasm of the Lacanian Field community as it works to realize a School of Psychoanalysis grounded in Lacan’s teachings, while grappling with the effects and demands of the analytic discourse.
