The Journal presents the following sections:
Lectures: lectures given on psychoanalytic themes or those of interest to psychoanalysis within the scope of the Forums of the Lacanian Field in Epistemic Ties and other activities, at Universities, at National and International EPFCL Meetings.
Bilingual Articles: article presented in two languages with analysis of a proposed theme, leading to questioning and/or new elaborations (approximately 15 pages, including bibliographical references and notes).
Articles: presentation and discussion based on the psychoanalytic experience of crucial problems of psychoanalysis as they relate to the transmission of psychoanalysis. More subjective expression of discursive choices and, therefore, able to present a more original conclusion (approximately 05 pages or 9,000 characters up to 15 pages or 31,000 characters, including bibliographical references, notes and summaries).
Reviews: critical or descriptive review of books, films, plays or master's or doctoral theses, whose content is related to or is of interest to psychoanalysis (approximately 02 to 05 pages, between 3,000 and 9,000 characters).
Interviews: interviews that address psychoanalysis or psychoanalysis-related topics (approximately 10 pages or 21,000 characters, including bibliographical references and notes). STYLUS has the following sections: conference, essays, critical work on concepts, treatment direction, school space, interview and review; it is up to EPS to decide whether to include the selected texts in the journal.
All works submitted for publication will be submitted for consideration by at least two reviewers, members of the Stylus Editorial Board (CES). The Stylus Publishing Team (EPS) may use ad hoc consultants, at its discretion and that of CES, whose identities will not be revealed. EPS will evaluate the relevance of the number of texts that will make up each issue of Stylus, in order to ensure the purpose of this journal: to promote debate about psychoanalysis and its connections with other discourses. The text considered accepted will be published in full and signed articles express the opinion of their authors.
PRESENTATION OF MANUSCRIPTS:
The journal STYLUS adopts the APA publication standards: Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th edition). The omission of information in the following details implies that the APA guidelines prevail (http://www.apastyle.org/).
The manuscript must be organized in the following order:
1. Title – and its translations – centered, in bold, with upper and lower case letters;
2. Abstracts (without paragraph indentation) in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French (the word “Abstract” – and its translations – must be centered, in bold, with upper and lower case letters);
3. Keywords (minimum of three and maximum of five) centered in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French (the term “Keywords” – and its translations – should be centered, in bold, with upper and lower case letters);
4. Text itself, without page breaks.
5. Bibliographic References.
The numbering (top right corner) should be inserted starting at 1 (one).
Tables, figures and other illustrations should be placed in a separate file, in the order in which they were cited in the text, in JPEG format.
In the case of interviews, the following data should be included at the end: date of the interview, name of the interviewer, name of the interviewee and complete identification data for both (title, institutional affiliation and academic and professional references). Optionally, relevant data about the context in which the interview was conducted may be included. In the case of reviews, the complete reference of the reviewed work should be included at the end.
PUBLICATION RULES:
GENERAL FORMATTING:
Articles must be typed in Word, version 6.0 or higher, with the extension (.doc), in Arial, Calibri or Times New Roman font, size 12, black, on A4 paper.
Underlining may not be used. Italics should only be used in the titles of works included in the bibliographical references and in words or expressions that constitute “foreignisms”, such as Verwerfung, Nom-du-Père, etc. The use of bold is only permitted in the cases specified throughout these Editorial Guidelines.
Attention: APA warns that abstracts, citations with more than 3 lines, titles, headings, titles and illustration notes (captions) will not have paragraph indentation on the first line.

The order in which the information should be presented should be:
- Title in Portuguese
Resumo
Palavras-chave - Title in English
Abstract
Keywords - Title in Spanish
Resumen
Palabras Clave - Title in French
Résumé
Most-clés
ILLUSTRATIONS
The number of figures (tables, graphs, images, diagrams) should be a maximum of five per article, except in cases where exceptions must be justified in writing by the author and approved by the journal. Figures must be inserted into the text in the exact location where they should be published. They must include a title above and the source below with the bibliographic reference (author, year, and page number), single-spaced, Times New Roman, size 12.
Figures must also be submitted separately as .jpeg files and numbered sequentially (Figure 1, Figure 2, …).
QUOTES
Quotes with less than 40 words should be incorporated into the text paragraph, between quotation marks. Quotes with more than 40 words should appear without quotation marks in a justified paragraph, with an indent of 1.27 cm from the left margin.
Indirect quotes must contain the ideas of the author of the text, but must also endorse the original ideas of the cited author. Example: Lacan always made clear his position on psychoanalysts who accommodated themselves to the institutional mechanisms of the psychoanalytic schools of that time, with their bureaucracy and questionable rituals (Lacan, 1956/1998).
Only one author: author's surname with only the first letter capitalized, year of publication and page of the cited text. Examples: (Lacan, 1966/1998, p. 23) or Lacan (1966/1998, p. 23).
Two authors: surname of the authors connected by “&” in parenthetical citations and by “and” in the text. Examples: (Alberti & Elia, 2000) or Alberti and Elia (2000).
Three or more authors: surname of the first author followed by “et al.”, without italics, from the first citation. Examples: (Ribeiro et al., 2015) or Ribeiro et al. (2015).
Citation of a citation: is the mention of a document to which one did not have access, but of which one became aware through another work, that is, it refers to the use of secondary sources. In the text, the original author must be indicated, followed by the expression “cited by”, and the author of the work that was read. Example: Goethe (1948 cited by Freud, 1911 [1910]/2012, p. 65) or (Goethe, 1948 cited by Freud, 1911 [1910]/2012, p. 65). In bibliographic references, only the publication consulted should be included.
Undated publications: in works without an identified date, use “n.d.” (abbreviation of “no date”) instead of the year of publication. Examples: (Author, n.d.) or Author (n.d.).
In unpublished publications or unpublished materials: indicate that it is unpublished material, specifying the context (e.g.: unpublished manuscript, presentation, etc.). Examples (Author, unpublished manuscript) or Author (unpublished manuscript). In references: Author, A. A. (year). Title of work [Description of unpublished material]. Institution or context.
Institutional authorship: in the first citation, the name must be written in full. If there is a known acronym, include it in parentheses and use only the acronym in subsequent citations. Examples: in the first citation (World Health Organization [WHO], 2010, p. 123) or World Health Organization (WHO) (2010, p. 123). Example in subsequent citations: (WHO, 2010) or WHO (2010).
Same author with identical dates: when citing several works by the same author, organize them in order of date, separated by commas, and use letters after the year to distinguish the publications. Examples: Freud (1919a/1992, 1919b/1992) or (Freud, 1919a/1992, 1919b/1992).
Reprinted publications: include the original publication date followed by the reprint date. Examples: Lacan (1971-1972/2012, p. 59) or (Lacan, 1971-1972/2012, p. 59).
FOOTNOTES
This resource should be used sparingly, so as not to make reading difficult. Footnotes should only include information considered to be accessory to the understanding of the text. Under no circumstances should endnotes be used. Footnotes should not be used to introduce the original form of citations that appear in the body of the text, nor to introduce source references (except in extraordinary cases).
REFERENCES
Every document cited in the body of the work must appear in the list of references, following the general formatting. The list of references must appear at the end of the work, organized in alphabetical order by the author's surname, followed by the initials of the names and date of publication. They must be formatted with double spacing, and the second and subsequent lines must begin with an indent.
