About the Journal

STYLUS is a biannual journal of the SCHOOL OF PSYCHOANALYSIS OF THE FORUMS OF THE LACANIAN FIELD – BRAZIL.

Its name comes from the Greek meaning a sharp metal instrument used to pierce, engrave or write. In addition to referring to writing, the name was chosen to indicate the characteristic of a hole, a cut that marks the style of an analyst. The journal has been in circulation since 2000 and publishes unpublished articles from the Brazilian and international communities of the Lacanian Field, as well as articles by other colleagues who guide their reading of psychoanalysis mainly through the texts of Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan.

The journal accepts articles from other fields of knowledge (science, philosophy, art, literature, linguistics, topology, etc.) that take psychoanalysis as the axis of their reflective connections.

Stylus Journal is committed to high standards of editorial ethics and academic integrity. Learn more about the Ethics and Good Practices Policy.

The texts received are evaluated by the Editorial Board, based on the opinions of ad hoc consultants, in an anonymous and confidential manner. Learn more about the Peer Review Policy.
